Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping, ingredients, candle care, wholesale — answered.

What wax do you use?
We use 100% natural soy wax — pure soy, no blending agents, no paraffin. Soy wax burns cooler and cleaner than paraffin, produces less soot, and holds fragrance well. We call it natural because it's pure plant-based soy — nothing synthetic blended in.
Are your candles vegan?
Yes. No animal by-products of any kind — no beeswax, no stearic acid, no tallow. Soy wax, hemp wick, fragrance oil, metal tin.
Are fragrance oils safe?
Our fragrance oils are phthalate-free and IFRA-compliant. IFRA (the International Fragrance Association) sets safety standards for fragrance materials. Our supplier is The Flaming Candle Company, USA-based, and their oils are tested to those standards.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship within 2–4 business days. Standard shipping takes 5–7 business days. Expedited options are available at checkout.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free standard shipping on all orders over $45.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. If you don't see it, check your spam folder or contact us.
Do you accept returns?
We accept returns on unopened candles within 14 days of delivery. If a candle arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours and we'll make it right. See our Refund Policy for details.
How do I clean my tin after the candle is done?
Freeze the tin overnight — the remaining wax contracts and pops out clean. Remove the wick tab with a butter knife. Rinse with warm soapy water. Dry and reuse. See our What's Inside page for reuse ideas.
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes, we work with a small number of retail partners. Visit our Wholesale page to learn more and apply.
How often do you release new scents?
We release new scents when they're ready — typically with the seasons. Sign up for our email list to find out first.
What does 'small batch' mean for you?
It means we pour, label, and package every candle ourselves. We don't use co-manufacturers or fulfillment warehouses. Small batch also means limited quantities — when a scent sells out, it's gone until the next pour.
Can I buy your candles in stores?
We're currently online-only at torreycandleco.com. We may partner with select retailers in the future — follow us on Instagram or join our email list to stay updated.
